Being brave doesn’t mean you wear a suit of iron or a magnificent cape. It does not mean you were gifted with magical powers, and it does not mean that you aspire to be or work in a profession which saves lives.

. . .is believing in yourself. It’s asking for help when you need it. It’s standing up to that monstrous bully and helping them be better and kinder. It’s looking into the eyes of grief, taking its hand and riding the waves of change. It’s breathing through monkey brain when the world becomes chaotic, and it’s getting closer to nature by stepping just outside of your front door.

But sometimes we don’t know how to do all of those things.

Sometimes we just forget.

Sometimes we need a little help and guidance through stories that act as our survival guide, providing us with the information we need to become a brave kid.
